Virginia Judge Rules in Favor of Transgender Student Gavin Grimm

And a federal judge in Virginia has ruled in favor of transgender
student Gavin Grimm, who sued his local Virginia school district for the
right to use the bathroom that matches his gender identity. In Tuesday's
ruling, Judge Arenda Wright Allen said federal law protects transgender
students like Grimm and that the school district had subjected him to
illegal "sex stereotyping." After the ruling, Grimm said, "I feel an
incredible sense of relief. After fighting this policy since I was 15
years old, I finally have a court decision saying that what the
Gloucester County School Board did to me was wrong and it was against
