House Passes School Safety Bill Without Any Gun Controls

The protests came as the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed
a bill authorizing $50 million in grants to schools for safety protocols
and training. The bill does not contain any gun control measures, and
Republican congressional leaders have signaled they don't intend to
bring any new gun bills to the floor.
