Education Secretary Betsy DeVos Mulls Federal Funds to Arm Teachers

Education Secretary Betsy De Vos is considering a plan that would grant
federal funds to states to purchase firearms for teachers and school
employees. The New York Times reports the plan would use federal Student
Support and Academic Enrichment grants to pay for firearms and to train
educators in their use. The plan would reverse longstanding federal
policy prohibiting federal funds for arming educators.
