Puerto Rico to Close 283 Public Schools

In other education news, Puerto Rico's Department of Education has
announced it will close 283 public schools due to the island's economic
crisis and dwindling population after Hurricane Maria. The announcement
comes just weeks after Gov. Ricardo Rosselló signed a bill opening the
door for charter schools and private school vouchers.
