Oklahoma Teachers' Strike Shuts Schools for a Fifth Day

In Oklahoma, schools remain closed for a fifth day in the state's two
largest school districts as teachers remain on strike demanding better
pay and increased funding for their schools. On Thursday, thousands of
teachers packed the state Capitol again to push lawmakers to approve a
new revenue package to fund the schools.
