China Hits Back as Trump Slaps Tariffs on 1,300 Chinese Products

The Trump administration published a list Tuesday of about 1,300 Chinese
products to be hit with a 25 percent tariff, prompting retaliation from
China, which responded today with a 25 percent tariff of its own on $50
billion worth of U.S. goods-including cars, airplanes and foodstuffs.
This morning, Trump tweeted, "We are not in a trade war with China, that
war was lost many years ago by the foolish, or incompetent, people who
represented the U.S."
