April 13, 2018 Report: National Enquirer Killed Rumor About Trump's Out-of-Wedlock Child ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Associated Press reports that the owner of the National Enquirer paid $30,000 in 2015 to Dino Sajudin, a former doorman at Trump Tower, to quash a story that Trump fathered a child out of wedlock in the late 1980s and that top executives of the Trump Organization knew about it. The AP reports the Enquirer bought exclusive rights to the story and then refused to publish it, in a process known as "catch and kill." The Enquirer similarly quashed a story on the eve of the 2016 election about Trump's alleged extramarital affair with former model Karen Mc Dougal. The National Enquirer's parent company's chief executive, David Pecker, is a close personal friend of President Trump. .
