September 11, 2017 Kenya to Hold Rerun of Contested Presidential Election ------------------------------------------------------ Kenya is preparing to hold a rerun of its contested presidential election next month, after the first election was nullified by Kenya's Supreme Court. The court ruled there were flaws in the tallying process for the August 8 election. At least 24 people were killed in post-election protests. Incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta will now face opposition leader Raila Odinga in a new election on October 17. .
