Niger: Heavy Rains Leave Thousands Homeless

Meanwhile, in Niger, thousands of people were left homeless this week
after torrential rains pounded the capital Niamey. Niger's government
says at least 44 people have died from extreme weather since the rainy
season began in June. Scientists have linked increasing rainfall and
deadly flooding to climate change from human activity.
