Senate Deal Would Stabilize Health Insurance Markets for Two Years

On Capitol Hill, two senators said Tuesday they've reached a deal to
stabilize health insurance markets, as President Trump wages a campaign
aimed at undermining the Affordable Care Act. The limited deal by
Republican Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Democratic Senator
Patty Murray of Washington will fund health insurance subsidies for
low-income Americans for two years. President Trump said he would back
the deal, even though he said last week he was ending billions of
dollars in federal subsidies to insurance companies-part of his effort
to "let Obamacare implode."
