Report: U.S. Air Force on Track to Triple Number of Bombs Dropped in Afghanistan

In news on the U.S. war in Afghanistan, the U.S. Air Force is on track
to triple the number of bombs there dropped this year, compared with
last year. The major increase in bombing comes as the Trump
administration has deployed thousands more U.S. troops to Afghanistan in
recent months. By early 2018, there are slated to be about 16,000 U.S.
troops there. The ongoing U.S. war in Afghanistan is the longest war in
U.S. history.
