March 31, 2017 Trump to Issue Executive Orders on Trade Ahead of Visit by Chinese Leader ------------------------------------------------------------------------- President Trump is scheduled to sign a pair of executive orders today. One aims to establish a commission to study the causes of U.S. trade deficits. The other is aimed at tightening anti-dumping laws that restrict foreign manufacturers from undercutting the prices of U.S. goods. The orders are largely aimed at China, and come as the White House announced President Trump will host Chinese President Xi Jinping next Thursday and Friday at Trump's resort in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. The meeting is unlikely to include any tee time on Trump's Mar-a-Lago golf course. As president, Xi has closed over 100 golf courses across China, where the Communist Party officially bans its members from playing the game. .
