Lawmaker: Treasury Sec. Mnuchin Broke Ethics Rules by Promoting Movie He Financed

Oregon Democratic Senator Ron Wyden is calling for U.S. Treasury
Secretary Steven Mnuchin to face a government ethics violation
investigation, after Mnuchin told parents to "send all your kids to
'Lego Batman'"-a film that was financed by one of Mnuchin's companies.
In a letter to Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub, Sen.
Wyden called the comments "troubling" and wrote, "I am concerned that
Sec. Mnuchin's comments may be seen to have a predictable effect on the
financial interests of the entity. ... I request that you review Sec.
Mnuchin's comments, and report any findings to me and the Treasury
Department."
