Indigenous Namibian Tribes Suing Germany for Reparations for Genocide

In New York, a second hearing has been scheduled in the case of two
indigenous Namibian tribes that are suing the German government to
demand compensation for Germany's genocide of 100,000 people in
now-Namibia between 1904 and 1908. The killings were carried out by
German imperial troops when the region was a German colony. The killings
are considered to be the 20th century's first genocide.
