Ex-Tea Party Lawmaker Pete Hoekstra Named Ambassador to Netherlands

President Trump has nominated former Republican Congressmember Pete
Hoekstra as U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands. Hoekstra is a co-founder
of the House Tea Party Caucus. He supports the death penalty, opposes
abortion rights and has spoken out against marriage equality and LGBTQ
rights.
