Brazil: Congressional Panel Proposes No Charges for President Temer

Meanwhile, Brazil's current president, Michel Temer, is facing his own
corruption probe. On Thursday, a congressional committee voted against
recommending charges against Temer, even though the president was caught
on tape approving hush-money payoffs for a powerful politician jailed on
corruption charges. President Temer's approval rating remains in the
single digits, with one recent poll finding just 2 percent of Brazilians
