Rick Perry Faces Confirmation Hearing to Head Agency He Vowed to Abolish
------------------------------------------------------------------------

More confirmation hearings are slated to take place today, including for
former Texas Governor Rick Perry, who Trump tapped to head the Energy
Department. Governor Perry famously attempted to propose to abolish the
Energy Department-but then couldn't even remember the name of the agency
during a live televised debate in 2011, when Perry was running for
president.
