Protest in Senate Office Building Marks 15 Years of Guantánamo Prison
---------------------------------------------------------------------

As senators met for a flurry of confirmation hearings Wednesday,
activists dressed in orange jumpsuits held a "die-in" on the floor of
the Senate's office building, calling for the closure of the Guantánamo
Bay detention center on the 15th anniversary of the prison's opening.
The group reported 16 of its members were arrested during nonviolent
protests around the Hart Senate Office Building.
