Transportation Secretary Pick Elaine Chao Breezes Toward Confirmation

Donald Trump's nominee to head the Department of Transportation, Elaine
Chao, received a warm welcome at a Senate hearing on Wednesday and
appears to be headed for a confirmation by the full Senate. Chao
previously served as labor secretary under President George W. Bush and
is on several corporate boards, including Wells Fargo and News Corp.,
the parent company of Fox News. Chao is the wife of Senate Majority
Leader Mitch Mc Connell.
