Pentagon Plan Would Extend U.S. Troop Deployment in Iraq Indefinitely

The Pentagon is considering a plan that would see a large contingent of
U.S. troops remain in Iraq-even after the planned defeat of ISIS. Gen.
Joseph Dunford, chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Thursday the
Pentagon was discussing the possibility with Iraq's government, saying
the plan to extend troop deployment has "no fixed end date."
