India: Toxic Smog Returns to New Delhi

In India, toxic smog has once again enveloped New Delhi, triggering
pollution alerts and threatening the lives of residents with breathing
disorders. The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi measured fine-grain particulate
levels at 448 on a 500-part scale-nine times the upper safe limit.
