Trump Administration Rolls Back Regulations for Nursing Homes

The Trump administration has rolled back regulations at nursing homes
nationwide, meaning nursing homes that injure residents or place them at
grave risk will face fewer and less costly fines. The nursing home
industry lobbied for the deregulation. Advocates for nursing home
residents say the deregulation threatens to roll back years of
hard-fought progress in improving care and deterring neglect and
mistreatment of elderly residents.
