Red Cross in Yemen: Cholera Cases Reach 1 Million

In news from the Middle East, the International Committee of the Red
Cross is reporting the number of suspected cholera cases in Yemen has
reached 1 million, making it the worst cholera epidemic on record. At
least 2,200 people have already died from the outbreak, which began in
April amid the U.S.-backed, Saudi-led bombing campaign, which began just
over 1,000 days ago. According to the Red Cross, more than 80 percent of
Yemenis now lack food, fuel, water and access to healthcare.
