Israel Approves 300 New Settlement Homes in Occupied West Bank

This comes as Israel has approved the construction of 300 new settlement
homes far into the Israeli-occupied West Bank. The White House
criticized Israel over the plan, saying it was a betrayal of trust. The
approval comes only weeks after the U.S. approved a new military aid
package to Israel of $38 billion over 10 years-the largest military
funding package the U.S. has ever offered to any nation.
