NH Sen. Kelly Ayotte "Misspoke" in Referring to Trump as Role Model

In New Hampshire, Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte, who is in a tight
re-election race, is facing criticism over her support for Donald Trump,
whom she called a "role model" on Monday, before quickly trying to walk
back the comments. Ayotte referred to Trump as a role model during a
debate with her rival, Governor Maggie Hassan. A few hours later, Ayotte
issued a statement saying she "misspoke."
