California AG Investigating Wells Fargo for Criminal Identity Theft

California Attorney General Kamala Harris has launched an investigation
into whether Wells Fargo engaged in criminal identity theft by creating
2 million fake accounts, which employees opened in order to meet
grueling sales targets. Wells Fargo is currently embroiled in a massive
scandal over the creation of the fake bank accounts, which led to the
resignation of former CEO John Stumpf.
