November 7, 2016 Oklahoma: Strong Earthquake Causes Major Damage to Cushing ---------------------------------------------------------- Back in the United States, in Oklahoma, a strong 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Cushing on Sunday evening, knocking out power, rupturing gas lines and partially collapsing buildings. Cushing bills itself as the "Pipeline Crossroads of the World" and is home to above-ground tanks that store millions of barrels of crude oil.
