L.A. Police Chief Says He Won't Assist Trump in Mass Deportation Plan

Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck has said he will not work with the
Department of Homeland Security to carry out President-elect Donald
Trump's proposed mass deportation policies. In a "60 Minutes" interview
aired Sunday, Trump vowed to deport up to 3 million people. In response,
Chief Charlie Beck said, "If the federal government takes a more
aggressive role on deportation, then they'll have to do that on their
own." Trump's recent promise to deport up to 3 million people comes
after President Obama's administration has already deported more than
2.5 million people between 2009 and 2015-more than any other
administration in U.S. history.
