November 14, 2016 South Korea: Up to 1 Million Call for President Park's Resignation ------------------------------------------------------------------ In South Korea, as many as 1 million people took to the streets of Seoul Saturday to demand the resignation of President Park Geun-hye, who is embroiled in a corruption scandal. It was the largest protest in South Korea in over a decade. Park faces accusations she has been following foreign and domestic policy advice from a close friend who has no political experience and is accused of embezzling up to $70 million. This is one of the protesters. Park Je-sang: "This bad person, who was not elected by us, has been controlling the country. I was angry, because our president was nothing but a puppet.
