May 6, 2016 Italian Court: Homeless Man's Theft of Food Not a Crime ------------------------------------------------------- And Italy's highest appeals court has ruled stealing small amounts of food if you're hungry is not a crime. The case concerned a homeless man who was convicted of theft and sentenced to six months in jail for stealing $4.50 worth of cheese and meat.
