Syria: U.N. Warns of Starvation If Assad Continues to Block Aid
---------------------------------------------------------------

This comes as the United Nations is warning of the risk of starvation in
government-besieged areas if the delivery of humanitarian aid continues
to be blocked by the Assad regime. The United States, Russia and other
countries have said they will begin airdropping aid by June 1 if the
sieges are not lifted.
