Canada Approves Sale of Genetically Modified Salmon

Meanwhile, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has approved a
genetically modified salmon for sale as food. It's the first genetically
modified animal approved in the country. Aqu Advantage salmon was
developed by Massachusetts-based Aqua Bounty Technologies. They grow
twice as fast as natural salmon.
