Florida: Transgender African-American Woman Murdered

In Florida, a 32-year-old African-American transgender woman was
murdered on Sunday in a parking lot. Mercedes Successful was an active
member of the LGBT community in Haines City. She represented Jamaica,
where she was born, in the 2014 Gay Caribbean USA Pageant.
