Philippines: Duterte Wins Presidency Despite Accused Death Squad Role

In the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte has declared victory in the
presidential election and vowed to rewrite the constitution. Duterte won
the election despite periodically admitting to his role in death squads,
joking about the gang rape of an Australian missionary, and pledging to
kill tens of thousands of people. He's been dubbed the Filipino "Trump."
Meanwhile, the Philippines has also elected its first openly transgender
politician. Geraldine Roman will serve in the House of Representatives.
