California Lawmakers Reach Deal to Raise Minimum Wage to $15 an Hour by 2022

In California, lawmakers have reached a tentative deal to raise the
statewide minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2022. The hike would come
gradually over the next six years, beginning with an increase to $10.50
next year. If approved, it would make California the first state to
adopt a $15-an-hour minimum wage.
