John Hinckley Jr. Free 35 Years After He Tried to Kill Ronald Reagan

And a judge has freed John Hinckley Jr., who attempted to assassinate
former President Ronald Reagan in 1981. The now 61-year-old Hinckley
wounded Reagan and three other people outside the Washington Hilton
Hotel and was declared not guilty by reason of insanity. U.S. District
Judge Paul Friedman said Hinckley no longer poses a danger to himself or
others and will live with his mother upon his release.
