Parliamentary debate on the bill is expected to begin today. Many Tunisians fear laws like the one proposed would mean a return to the same kind of widespread corruption that helped spark the 2011 uprising that toppled longtime leader Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. Protesters successfully blocked the bill last year, the first time it was introduced. .
