Haitian Lawmakers Choose Former Aristide Minister as Interim President

Haitian lawmakers have chosen an opposition senator to serve as interim
president for 120 days after disputed elections left the country without
a president. Former Parliament head Jocelerme Privert served as interior
minister under former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, who was ousted
in 2004 in a U.S.-backed coup.
