Peabody Energy, World's Largest Private-Sector Coal Firm, Files for Bankruptcy

The world's largest private-sector coal company has filed for
bankruptcy. Peabody Energy is at least the fifth major coal company to
seek bankruptcy amid a decline in coal. The environmental group 350.org
declared the move a "harbinger of the end of the fossil fuel era."
