Edward Snowden Says He's Volunteered to Go to Prison in Plea Deal

National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden says he has
offered to go to prison as part a plea deal that would allow him to
return to the United States from Russia. But Snowden says the Justice
Department has not contacted him to discuss the potential deal. In an
interview with the BBC, Snowden said, "I've volunteered to go to prison
with the government many times. What I won't do is I won't serve as a
deterrent to people trying to do the right thing in difficult
situations."
