Israel Deploys Thousands of Soldiers, Police amid Violence

The Israeli government has deployed thousands of soldiers and border
police and has erected checkpoints to seal off Palestinian neighborhoods
amid escalating violence in Israel and the Occupied Territories. The
crackdown comes after a series of uncoordinated stabbing attacks by
Palestinians on Israelis.
