Leaders of Taiwan, China to Hold Historic Meeting

The leaders of China and Taiwan will hold a historic meeting in
Singapore Saturday, marking the first such talks since the end of the
Chinese civil war 66 years ago. Defeated by the Communists in 1949, the
Chinese Nationalists fled to Taiwan and set up their own government.
China still considers Taiwan a breakaway province.
