Utah Governor Signs Law to Allow Firing Squads for Executions

Utah has become the only state to allow firing squads for executions.
Gov. Gary Herbert signed the new measure allowing the state to use the
firing squad if lethal injection drugs are not available. The drugs have
been difficult to obtain because European manufacturers refuse to sell
them for U.S. executions.
