Judge Strikes Down South Dakota Same-Sex Marriage Ban

A federal judge has struck down South Dakota's ban on same-sex marriage.
Judge Karen Schreier found the ban "deprives same-sex citizens of a
fundamental right," but placed her ruling on hold pending an appeal.
Same-sex marriage is currently legal in 36 states and Washington, D.C.
