North and South Korea Exchange Fire as Tensions Rise

In South Korea, residents have been ordered to evacuate an area of its
border with North Korea, after the countries exchanged fire Thursday.
South Korea's defense minister says the crossfire began when North Korea
fired at a military unit, prompting retaliation from the south. He says
North Korea then launched a projectile at the town of Yeoncheon, which
lies northwest of Seoul, where loudspeakers were broadcasting anti-North
propaganda.
