House Republicans Pass Tax Break for Wealthiest 0.2%

The protest in New York came as House Republicans in Washington have
passed a measure to effectively deepen income inequality by providing a
$269 billion tax break to the wealthiest 0.2 percent of Americans. The
House voted along party lines to repeal the federal estate tax, which
only applies to estates worth more than $5.43 million. President Obama
would veto the measure if it cleared the Senate.
