California: Black Woman Punched by Cop Gets $1.5M Settlement

In California, an African-American woman has won a $1.5 million
settlement after she was beaten by a California Highway Patrol officer
in July. A passing driver filmed Officer Daniel Andrew pummeling Marlene
Pinnock along the side of a highway in Los Angeles. The officer has
agreed to resign.
