September 2, 2014 Thousands Camp Outside Pakistani Parliament in Anti-Gov't Protest ------------------------------------------------------------------ Pakistan continues to face a political crisis in the face of massive anti-government protests. Thousands of people have camped out in front of the Parliament building in Islamabad in a call for the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Opponents accuse Sharif of corruption and vote rigging. The protests have turned violent in recent days, with demonstrators briefly occupying a government broadcaster and street clashes that left three dead and more than 500 wounded. The Pakistani Parliament is holding an emergency session to discuss the crisis today. .
