34 Children Die in Syria from Tainted Measles Vaccine

In the Syrian province of Idlib, at least 34 children are said to have
died after receiving tainted doses of a measles vaccine. The Syrian
rebel coalition, which was running the program, said supporters of the
Bashar al-Assad regime may have tampered with the vaccines. They said
the doses were supplied by UNICEF and the World Health Organization by
way of the Turkish government. The death toll is expected to rise as
many children are seriously ill.
