Obama on Midterms: Voters Sent a Message, as Did the Majority Who Stayed Home 
------------------------------------------------------------------------------


 
President Obama will host congressional leaders from both parties at the
White House on Friday. In response to the Republican victory in the
Senate and gains in the House, Obama said he has received a message both
from voters who turned out and the many more who stayed home.

President Obama: "As president, I have a unique responsibility to try
and make this town work. So, to everyone who voted, I want you to know
that I hear you. To the two-thirds of voters who chose not to
participate in the process yesterday, I hear you, too."
